Since he was admitted to the bar over forty years ago, Allen has been continually engaged in the private practice of law primarily in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. He specializes in real estate and asset backed loan transactions, complex commercial real estate transactions, and condemnation and eminent domain litigation on behalf of condemning authorities.

Allen represents a regional bank and a community bank, and assists them in commercial real estate and asset backed loan transactions on behalf of their borrowers.

Allen also represents the County of Monmouth, and serves as a Special County Counsel. He has assisted the Department of Public Works and Engineering in the replacement of some of the most vital bridge, intersection and transportation projects throughout the County such as the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge, the West Front Street Bridge, and the West Main Street Corridor in Freehold Township. Allen assists the County Parks System in the administration of the Municipal Open Space Grant Program and the MLPIP Program which benefit the various municipalities in the County. He has also assisted the County by closing various parcels of real property which have added to the County’s open space inventory or have improved vital infrastructure. Allen also represents the County in numerous matters involving the acquisition and rehabilitation of Fort Monmouth.
